Religion

Hello everyone!!

Today I'm going to answer the question of whether religion is important to me.

In my upbringing, religion was not present in my education. Both of my parents had unresolved traumas with religion, for this reason talking about religion was problematic. They were not married in church, nor were we baptized. In his time that was not common. As I grew older, I had doubts about the importance of religion. Why does everyone believe in God, I thought, and I started doing Bible studies. My father got angry and forbade me to study it.

At 17 and until I was 21, I was a believer. Eventually that changed. My thinking began to form rationally. To the point of despising religious or mythical beliefs. Today I consider myself an atheist, but unlike before, I think it is important to understand how religious beliefs work in society and what historical value beliefs have. I am interested in mythology and religion, but in a philosophical sense. It is an interesting world that can be accessed with respect, even being an atheist like me.

Bye!

  1. Hi Joce, I also think that every religion or atheist, like you, must be respected. Many time the religious fanatics despise those who don`t believe or believe in another God, and many non-religious or atheist make fun of those who do believe, and that had to change.
Also I`m also interested in mythology, especially in Greek and Nordic,
